Procedure to change your Twinkly devices' names on the app
Applies to Twinkly Generation I and Generation II devices, Twinkly PRO and Twinkly Plus.
Renaming your Twinkly device, or group of devices, can be not just a fun way to personalize your Twinkly Device list but can be really useful to recognize your devices that usually are listed with their product names, above all when you have many of them, or if in the future you should add other ones; it will be a lot easier to identify them.
Renaming devices is also useful when you want to give them an order when applying an effect.
When using the Area group (which creates a scenario between different layouts), we suggest naming the devices sequentially (001, 002, 003 etc.)
This is very helpful to make the installation consistent in applying the effects.
To change your device's name, just open your app, and tap on the LED icon on the bottom right corner of the screen, to enter your Device List.
Then tap on the gear icon you find next to your actual device's name, and then tap on the name to edit it.
Once you're done, just tap on the arrow on the upper left corner of the screen to go back, and you will see the name of your device or group being changed.
Please consider that to manage more than one Twinkly from the same smartphone you need to link them to a local Wi-Fi network.
