What are Wizard Patterns?

Wizard Patterns are one of the most powerful and creative features of the FX Wizard interface.

When you launch the application, you’ll be presented with the option to select from a range of FX Wizard patterns or to draw directly with your finger—so your first step is to choose your pattern!

One of the exclusive capabilities of the Wizard is the ability to overlay multiple patterns: simply click the “+” icon in the sidebar to add more. Once a pattern is selected, a full suite of tools becomes available, allowing you to customize your effect in detail.

You can choose from over 16 million colors using our Super Palette and fine-tune parameters like brightness, speed, shift, angle, and zoom—these options may vary slightly depending on the selected pattern. Before diving into each pattern individually, we’re also excited to introduce a powerful new feature that enhances the creative experience even further: pattern overlay.

By combining multiple patterns, you can unlock even more creative possibilities for your final effect. (You’ll find examples below, or just click the “+” icon on the right side of the screen to try it yourself.)

Color

Choose and create the perfect shade for your effect from the 16 million different ones available, in just 3 clicks:

• Select the color palette you wish to apply to your effect
• Using the + icon will open the palette and allow you to choose colors and brightness.
• Using the BLEND function you can increase or decrease the light level

Stripes

Create your magical effect by moving the LEDs and making them follow the rhythm of the stripes: horizontal, vertical or diagonal, wide or thin, in the colors you prefer, and at the speed that best suits your amazing design set.

• Select the colors of your striped effect using the COLOR  tool 
• Select Speed, Shift, Zoom, Angle using the ADJUST tool
• Using the BLEND function to increase or decrease the light level.

You have the option to include more than just two stripes in your design. In fact, you can add up to a maximum of five stripes. To do this, simply click on the '+' button located in the Colours Details section. This feature allows for greater customisation and flexibility, enabling you to create a more vibrant and visually appealing design that meets your specific preferences.

Text

Messages, greetings, whatever the occasion, your Twinkly will always know what to say to your loved ones, your neighbors, your customers...the world over!

• Select the colors of your text effect using the COLOR tool
• Using the ADJUST tool, to write your text (Text), Zoom it, adjust its speed, its horizontal and vertical direction.
• Using the BLEND tool to increase or decrease the light level.

In addition, you can apply the text to a personal pattern:

• Create your pattern with the setup you prefer
• Click the + icon in the toolbar to the right of the screen
• Click on the TEXT command
• open the menu and choose your text and all the options you prefer.

Generally speaking, the New layer tool, which you can find with a + icon, lets you add new levels or layers to the initial one you created. This allows you to mix patterns for more intricate and animated effects.

It's worth noting that the clarity of the text will depend on the density of the LEDs. The more LEDs you have and the closer they are to each other, the clearer your text will be.
For optimal results, it's best to use a very high number of LEDs, especially if you're working on large installations with Twinkly PRO.

Gradient
