A few tips on how to calculate the number of LEDs you need for your project needs.
This article refers to Twinkly PRO and Twinkly PLus devices
Twinkly PRO and Twinkly Plus lights are designed for professional-grade decorative installations. Both product lines feature a LED density of 100 LEDs per square meter, which makes it easy to estimate the number of LEDs required for your space.
Controller Capacity and Connectivity
-
Twinkly PRO Power Line Controller
Can support up to 1,500 LEDs per controller.
Controllers can be grouped indefinitely, limited only by the number of available Ethernet ports on your internet router.
If you need to expand, you can use a Twinkly PRO Connection HUB (Switch) to increase the number of Ethernet ports. -
Twinkly Plus Power Line Controller
Supports up to 500 LEDs per controller.
You can connect up to 10 Twinkly Plus devices under stable Wi-Fi coverage, making it ideal for medium-sized installations.
Example: How to Calculate the Number of LEDs
Let’s say you need to decorate a facade of 27 square meters.
To calculate the number of LEDs required:
27 sqm × 100 LEDs/sqm = 2,700 LEDs
It's that simple! Just multiply the surface area (in square meters) by 100, and you’ll get the approximate number of LEDs needed for full coverage.
Quick Summary

---|---|---|---|
