Twinkly PRO Ethernet Incompatibility
Twinkly PRO Ethernet is not compatible with Twinkly PRO Wi-Fi, Twinkly Plus, or Twinkly Retail products.
You cannot create groups that mix these systems, nor can Retail strings be used with PRO controllers.

Twinkly PRO Wi-Fi and Twinkly Plus Compatibility
Twinkly PRO Wi-Fi and Twinkly Plus are technically compatible with Twinkly Retail products via the Twinkly App. However:
- Differences in color rendering and brightness may occur due to different LED types.
- It is no longer possible to add Retail devices to an installation that includes PRO or Plus devices, and vice versa.
As a result, Retail and PRO/Plus devices must be managed in separate installations.
Grouping Retail and Plus Devices
Previously, it was possible to group Retail and Plus devices together. In such cases:
- The group behaved as a Retail group
- Plus devices lost their advanced features
- The group could not be managed via the WebApp
Important update:
- It is now no longer possible to create new mixed groups between Retail and Plus devices (and this was already not allowed with PRO).
- This restriction reflects a broader system design: Retail, Plus, and PRO devices are intended to operate in separate environments, except for PRO and Plus which can coexist.
If you already have an existing mixed installation (Retail + Plus):
- The group will continue to function
- However, if you attempt to move devices, you will be prompted to:
- Delete the group
- Move only individual devices

- Only Twinkly PRO and Twinkly Plus devices can coexist within the same installation
- Retail devices must always be kept in a separate installation
Creating Multi-Controller Groups
Multi-controller groups can be created, but only with controllers of the same model:
- PLC Controllers → only with PLC Controllers
- SPI Controllers → only with SPI Controllers
This rule applies across PRO and Plus environments as well.
