Description of the Twinkly App's Effects Gallery
This article refers to Twinkly Generation I & II devices, Twinkly PRO and Twinkly Plus
What's the Effects Gallery?
The Effects Gallery is the main repository of all your effects.
Here you will find all the pre-loaded effects that you can immediately apply, save as favorites, or change.
You can also find your personal downloaded effects and the ones you created with the FX Wizard!
Finally, tapping on the Favorite folder, you will find the collection of the effects you flagged as you love more!
What's the Effects Gallery major features?
Depending on the Twinkly model you are using (Strings, Curtain, Flex, etc...) and its LED profile or mapping (Simple or 3-Dimensional) available effects may vary.
The colors shown in your gallery change according to your Twinkly's LED profile, for example, AWW ones will have all the effects in golden shades.
When you have a mixed LEDs profile group (RGB with RGB+W), the App shows the RGB gallery to guarantee an even results in term of white color.

Some pre-loaded effects will be available only with a certain kind of mapping on your Layout: to have 3D effects that run around your installation, you have to take an advanced mapping, so that the app can adapt the effects to the layout.
Gallery Categories
The Effects Gallery — one for each installed device — is organized into sections to make browsing easier and more intuitive:
All: Here you'll find a complete list of all your effects, including presets, those downloaded from the Explore section, and those you've created yourself.
My Effects: This section includes all the effects you've created using the FX-Wizard, preset affects you have edited and customized , effects from the GIF importer, or those created in Drawing Mode.
Downloaded: Contains all effects you’ve downloaded from the Explore section and those downloaded from other users’ sharing links.
Favorite: Your favorite effects — just tap the heart icon inside to add it here.
How Can I Search or Filter Effects?
Want to find an effect by keyword, sort the list to your liking, or filter by tag? Here’s how:
🔍 Search Tab
Use the search bar to look for effects in any of the four gallery sections using keywords. Whether you type a full or partial name, in uppercase, lowercase, or both, the app will find all matching effects.
⚙️ Filters
Tap the filter icon to access extra search and sorting options:
Sort by: choose to view effects from Oldest to Newest, Newest to Oldest, or Alphabetically.
Effect Styles: filter effects using one or more style tags, such as Ambience or Pixelart.
Apply: once you've made your selection, tap Apply to apply the filters and view matching effects.
Clear All: tap this to return to the default view and remove all filters.
Effect Sharing Option
Effects that have been edited from a preset, created with the FX Wizard, or imported as GIFs via Giphy can be shared with the Community using the dedicated share button.

What useful tips for playing and having fun with my effects Gallery?
If you have trouble applying or saving effects, some simple tips may help.

Can't download effects
Be sure to be connected to the internet (Twinkly direct connection creates a network for your device to communicate, but doesn’t provide an internet connection)

Can't apply effects
Check your connection status and be close enough to your router so that the app can easily communicate with your device.
Also, remember that to apply the effect you have to tap on the related button, otherwise, if you leave the preview mode too early, it won’t be saved!
Please be aware that if the device, or group of devices, is associated with an installation for which you possess the necessary permits to make this actions, you can proceed with the previous steps.
