How can I manage my Twinkly lights from two or more phones?

Using the Twinkly app on different smartphones or tablets

Applies to Twinkly Generation I and Generation II devices, Twinkly PRO and Twinkly Plus.

The whole family is crazy about your new Twinkly and is fighting over who gets to control it?
Don’t worry, we got you covered! 😉
You can connect to the Twinkly app and manage your lights from two or more smartphones!

This can be done in two different ways: by accessing the same Twinkly account from multiple devices or by sharing the same installation among multiple users.

Sharing account option

Simply log into the app using the same Twinkly Account .

Keep in mind that using the same account on two different smartphones/tablets connected to the same wi-fi network and with the Twinkly App open at the same time, may cause some problems in managing the lights, so you'll need to make sure the App is open on only one device.
Everything will work great, instead, when the App is open on both devices, but one is connected remotely and the other to the local wi-fi network.

Remember that some of your profile and device data is stored on your Twinkly account and some on your smartphone/tablet, so if you log in from other devices, some data will be available and some will not.
Below is the data stored on your smartphone/tablet that will not be available if you sign in from another device:

  • Personal effects: the effects you create on your Twinkly app

  • Effects downloaded from the Store

  • Layout History ( iOS only ): the last 3 layouts you created by mapping

Sharing Installation options

In addition to the option to log into the same account from multiple phones, you can also invite another user to manage your installation.

This feature introduced a true concept of sharing/collaboration of two or more members in managing your light installations and doubling the fun!

With the Installations sharing mode, two different accounts can interact with device/objects at the same time.
