A brief description of the WPS procedure
Applies to Twinkly Generation II devices and Twinkly Music
The WPS (Wi-Fi protected setup) procedure can be used to facilitate the connection between your Twinkly devices and your home router.
WPS allows you to pair wireless devices with your router, without a physical connection (cables) and through radio wave data transmission, by pressing a button on the router.
Generation II Twinkly devices
-
Hold down your Twinkly device controller button for approximately 10 seconds until the light turns purple.
-
Press the WPS button on your router (some have an icon that resembles the “refresh” symbol). Be careful not to press the “reset” button.
-
Wait until the light turns blue.
-
Log in to the Twinkly App and check whether it can see the device.
Special note for Twinkly Squares
If you have trouble monitoring the color of the status indicator light (based on your location, you might not be able to see when it turns purple), check the effect on the panel and wait for it to turn purple.
