If your Firmware is outdated, you’ll see a prompt on the device details page to start a manual update. Just follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Before you begin the update process, please ensure the following conditions are met:

• Network Connection: Your phone should be connected to the same network as your Twinkly device.
• Device Status: Make sure your Twinkly device is online, indicated by a green dot next to the device name.

Therefore, updating the firmware on these devices may not be possible.

To update the Pro 1000 controllers with firmware versions 0.9.14 or 1.1.3, please follow these steps:

1. Connect a Pro 1000 device to the network via ethernet cable, this network must have wifi access to connect with iPhone/iPad.
2. Add in app the device, the app will notify to update the Firmware
3. Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network TWINKLY_XXXXX in your Wi-Fi settings.
4. Use the password “Installer” (with an uppercase "I").
5. Close the app, even from the background, reopen the app.
6. Access the device details by clicking the arrow on the right, then tap the gear icon, and you’ll see the option to update the firmware. Proceed with the update.
7. You’ll receive a notification once the firmware update is completed, and the controller will be updated to version 2.0.0.
8. At this point, the Twinkly Wi-Fi network will no longer be visible.
9. Access the device details, tap the gear icon, and update the firmware yet.
10. After the last update completes and the controller restarts, you will see that the latest available firmware version, 2.2.0, has been installed.
