Introduction to the WebApp (or Cloud) tool for Twinkly PRO, Twinkly Plus and Lightwall.
Applies only to all Twinkly PRO Ethernet devices; Twinkly Plus and Lightwall powered by Twinkly.
[this feature is not available for Twinkly PRO Wi-Fi and Twinkly Retail]
The Twinkly Web App serves as the dedicated Cloud Console for the PRO Ethernet controllers and the Lightwall system, enabling users to manage their devices remotely via a computer. This innovative platform simplifies the operation of your lighting systems, allowing for greater flexibility and control from virtually anywhere.
To access the web app, you will need to log in using the credentials linked to your Twinkly account. It is essential that your account is associated with at least one Twinkly PRO device, Twinkly Plus device, or the Lightwall system to gain entry to the application.
The following is a concise overview detailing the functionalities available within the web app, tailored to the various types of Ethernet controllers:
PRO Ethernet 1500 Controller, PRO Power Line Controller, SPI Ethernet Controller, Twinkly Plus, and Lightwall
When using these controllers, you will have access to all the features offered by the web app. For a more in-depth understanding of these functionalities, please refer to the subsequent articles that elaborate on each feature in detail.
PRO Ethernet 1000 Controller
With the PRO Ethernet 1000 Controller, you are able to perform the following actions:
- Turn the system ON or OFF. This straightforward functionality allows for quick control over your lighting setup, ensuring that you can activate or deactivate your system with ease.
- Select an effect that has been previously installed using the mobile app. However, it is important to note that the capability to save effects remotely is not available for this model; this feature is exclusive to the TWPRO1500ETHP controller.
- Schedule events, allowing you to automate the operation of your lighting system according to your preferences and requirements.
If you possess both a Pro Ethernet Controller Box and the 1000 Pro Controller, it is recommended that you save the desired effects to your device through the mobile app first. Once saved, you can then apply these effects conveniently using the web app, streamlining your workflow.
Pro Ethernet Controller Box
For users of the Pro Ethernet Controller Box, you will have access to all the features, with a few notable exceptions:
- Playlist creation and management is not available, limiting your ability to curate a sequence of effects or light displays.
- Colour management features are also excluded, which may restrict your ability to adjust colours dynamically.
- The ability to remotely install or delete content is not supported, meaning any content management must be conducted locally.
- Remote updates are not possible, which may impact the ease with which you can keep your system up to date.
Utilising the Import tool, users can upload various file types without restrictions on file size for images. Supported formats include jpg, png, tiff, and gif. Additionally, videos can be uploaded in formats such as mp4, AVI, flv, mov, and MPEG, with a maximum file size limit of 100 MB.
Important Notes:
- It is crucial that the resolution of any images or videos matches the number of lamps in your installation. For instance, if your setup consists of 1000 lamps in width and 250 in length, your image or video should ideally be 1000x250 pixels. This alignment is essential to ensure the highest fidelity between what is displayed on the screen and what will be seen in your installation.
- When creating custom effects, it is highly recommended to consider the layout of your installation, maintaining an appropriate ratio of base to height (b:h) for optimal results. This practice helps to prevent any unwanted stretching or cropping of your content, ensuring that your designs are rendered accurately and effectively.
