If you're experiencing issues applying or saving effects in the Twinkly app, here are a few simple checks and suggestions that may help resolve the problem.
Can’t Download Effects?

Check your internet connection.
Make sure your device is connected to the internet. Keep in mind that the Twinkly Direct Connection creates a local network to communicate with your lights, but it does not provide internet access. For downloading effects, a stable internet connection is required.
Can’t Apply Effects?

Verify your connection status.
Ensure your phone is within range of your Wi-Fi router and that the Twinkly device is properly connected. The app needs a reliable connection to communicate with your lights. -
Make sure to apply the effect.
After previewing an effect, tap the “Apply” button to save it. If you exit preview mode without applying the effect, the changes won’t be saved. -
Avoid conflicts with multiple devices.
Make sure the Twinkly app isn’t open on multiple phones using the same account at the same time. This could prevent the effect from being applied correctly. -
Check your user role.
Ensure that your user role allows you to apply effects. If you're not the Owner or Installer of the installation, you might not have permission to make changes.
