How to extend Twinkly DOTs?

Overview
While Twinkly Dots cannot be physically extended with additional LED strands, you can virtually expand your setup by creating a Group in the Twinkly App. This allows multiple Twinkly devices to work together as one large synchronized lighting setup — perfect if you need more LEDs or want a broader coverage.
What You Can Do

Create a virtual group to link togheter your Twinkly devices.

All grouped devices will behave like a single larger device, displaying effects seamlessly across all LEDs.
❗ Twinkly Dots uses RGB LEDs, so you can only group it with other Twinkly products that are either RGB or RGB+W. Grouping is not compatible with AWW-only devices.
How to Create a Join Group in the Twinkly App
If you need more LEDs or want to create a wider lighting setup, the best solution to simulate an extension of your Twinkly Dots is by creating a Join Group through the Twinkly App:
- Open the app and navigate to the “Devices” menu (LED icon in the bottom right corner)
- Select the installation that contains the devices you want to group.
- Tap on the + icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Click on “Create Group”
- Choose the Join type
- Select the devices you want to include in the group
- Name your group as you wish (this will help you identify them later)
Once created, you can apply effects to the group, and all LEDs will display the effects as a single, unified installation.
